ZeroTech Trace X 5-25x56 Pairs a MIL Grid With MRAD Turrets
ZeroTech Optics USA has expanded its Trace lineup with the introduction of the Trace X 5-25x56 FFP-RMG3, an illuminated rifle scope built for shooters who want the flexibility to dial or hold corrections without compromise. The new model pairs an illuminated MIL grid reticle with a full MRAD turret system, giving long-range shooters, hunters, and competitors a genuinely dual-purpose optic.
The standout feature here is the RMG3 reticle itself. Its grid layout provides horizontal and vertical references for windage and elevation holds, while a 30-mil vertical scale offers plenty of holdover range for extended shots. Illumination keeps the central aiming points visible against dark or cluttered backgrounds, a useful touch for both competition stages and low-light hunting scenarios. Because the Trace X is a first focal plane scope, the grid's MIL subtensions stay accurate across the entire 5-25x magnification range, so shooters can adjust power on the fly without recalculating their holds.
For those who prefer to dial rather than hold, the turrets move in precise 0.1 MRAD clicks, with 34 MRAD of total elevation travel and 17 MRAD for windage, backed by an integrated zero stop for a reliable return-to-zero reference. That combination of grid and turret capability means the same scope can serve shooters who favor either technique, or who switch between them depending on the course of fire.
Supporting specs round out a solid package: a 56mm objective with fully multi-coated lenses, side-focus parallax adjustment from 22 yards to infinity, 3.82 inches of eye relief, and a diopter range of -3 to +2. The 34mm main tube carries an IPX7 waterproof rating, and the whole unit weighs in at 31.5 ounces, reasonably light for a scope with this much capability built in.
ZeroTech is clearly positioning the Trace X 5-25x56 FFP toward PRS and NRL Hunter competitors, as well as long-range shooters and hunters who want a single optic that handles multiple shooting styles. The scope ships with protective covers and a reticle manual, and is covered by ZeroTech's Triple-A Lifetime Warranty.
For shooters comparing options in this segment, the Trace X's blend of MIL grid and MRAD turrets is a notable point of differentiation worth watching for pricing and availability.
