Will the Intermediate Height rings work with the Vortex Viper HS 4-16x50 with 30mm tube? I want it as close to barrel without touching as possible. Expert Answer

They are great rings but if you have a 50mm scope, get the high rings. Intermediate will not fit that size scope even though it says up to a 50mm. Other than that, it’s great and is a breeze to put on the xbolt

Rings fit exactly as expected. There is a difference between front and back base. It is stamped F and B. I Torqued them down to 18 inch pounds with lock tight. Just shot the gun and it seems to be holding zero.

  • Use the Standard (low) ring height for scopes up to a 44mm objective with a standard barrel contour.
  • Use the Intermediate (medium) ring height for scopes up to a 50mm objective with a standard barrel contour.
  • Use the High ring height for scopes up to a 56mm objective with a standard barrel contour.
  • Scopes with an Adjustable Objective (AO) may require a taller ring height
