The Accupoint 3-9X 40 Riflescope with a crosshair Mil-Dot aiming reticle with an amber illuminated center dot offers a larger, 40-millimeter objective diameter, great for long distance shooting. Illuminated through the use of fiber optics for automatic light adjustments and a built-in self-luminous Tritium Phospor Lamp, this powerful scope provides a vivid crosshair Mil-Dot aiming reticle with an illuminated amber center dot without the need for failure-prone batteries. Combining the superior clarity of a multilayer coated lens, the unsurpassed edge-to-edge optical clarity of a Multi-Focus Eyepiece, and the durability of a hard-anodized aircraft-quality aluminum body, this scope offers the precision performance to get the job done in any light conditions.
Rivaling the performances of scopes twice the price, the Accupoint riflescope operates entirely without batteries--eliminating the potential for failure during critical moments in the field. The scope's Trijicon Fiber Optics automatically adjusts the brightness level and contrast of the Trijicon Aiming Point reticle to the available light conditions. Trijicon's Manual Brightness Adjustment Override allows you to control the light output of the fiber optics during daylight to suit your individual preference. The multi-layer coated lens provides superior light transmission with no distortion, while the quick-focus eyepiece ensures unsurpassed edge-to-edge optical clarity. Long-eye relief protects against high-impact recoil from larger caliber rifles and precise windage and elevation adjustments make custom adjustments quick and easy.
Backed by a lifetime warranty that protects against manufacturer's defects, the Accupoint riflescope is crafted from aircraft-quality, hard-anodized aluminum with a tube that's nitrogen-filled to prevent corrosion and eliminate fogging. A solid black-matte finish eliminates glare and light reflection, which could spook game. Water resistant to depths of 10 feet, the Accupoint is able to handle even the most challenging hunting conditions.
The Accupoint 3-9X 40 Mil-Dot Riflescope comes complete with a set of lenscaps, a lenspen, a Trijicon Logo Sticker, a manual, and warranty card. The Lenspen features a safe and easy to use retractable dust removal brush and a special non-liquid cleaning element, designed to never dry out. The die cut Trijicon Logo sticker measures at 3 x 2.75 inches and is made from durable red and black silk-screened 4-millimeter white opaque vinyl that can be applied to any flat surface for a permanent stick. The warranty covers the riflescope's metal structure and optics for lifetime and the Tritium Lamp for 15 years.

In the past, I've run Zeiss Conquest, Nightforce, Leupold, Nikon, and Burris scopes, to name a few. While each of these scopes have their merits, I do a lot of hog hunting in south-central Texas, and therefore, quite a bit of shooting at dusk. So, I was really looking for a illuminated reticle. If money were no object, I may have purchased a Nightforce, but dropping that kind of cash simply wasn't in the cards. So, I came to the Accupoint, which seemed like a perfect fit. Illuminated reticle, powered by tritium so it needs no batteries, in a relatively small, lightweight, attractive package.
I received the scope, and have been quite happy so far. I mounted the scope with some Talley mounts with integral rings, which seems like a good combo. Optically, the glass is clear, and there are no distortions to speak of throughout the scope's range. I haven't had a chance to use this scope in any real low light settings yet, so I can't speak to how well this glass compares to others, but during daylight conditions, it is very clear and bright. The tritium dot works as advertised, emitting enough of a glow to be useful, yet not distracting, in low light conditions. During the day, the brightness of the dot is controlled by varying the amount of light that enters via the fiber optics on the scope, and is completely adjustable. Again, I've not found the dot to "bloom" or be distracting in either low-light or ordinary conditions.
This scope is somewhat unique in its price-point. It is priced just above most "mid-tier" scopes, but well below your top of the line scopes. While time is ultimately the best test for any scope, if this scope lives up to the Trijicon name, I don't expect to be disappointed. If my thoughts on this scope change, I'll be sure to update this review, but as of this writing, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this scope to anyone shooting in dawn and dusk low-light conditions.
That isn't to say it is bad. Trijicon did a smart move in reducing the cost of this optic by outsourcing it. Had it been made in America, the price point would have been significantly higher.
I personally love this optic. I use it mainly for mid/long range hunting and I love it. The optic is clear and bright. The shining point is during low light conditions. You get a way better picture compared to some of the other optics out there. The tritium has a life span of about 12 years or so. However, that doesn't mean you can't keep using the optic. The thing I love about Trijicon products is that it still has a etched reticle so it can still be used just without the illumination.
A 3-9x is great for mid-long range target. If you want something that is short-mid-mid-long, check out the TR24 model which is a Accupoint 1-4x.
The only negative is that this didn't come with a mount. You'll have to supply that and you'll need a 1-inch version of whatever mounting you want to use.
Overall a great optic. If you are looking at higher end optics and scared of the price, check out the Accupoint lineup.
